Don't stay here!
I stayed here for a total of two nights, one day before and after my Salkantay trip. What a horrible experience.
I booked and paid a deposite for a room at the hostal 2 weeks prior to my stay and when I had turned up and told me they do not have a room for me as they were fully booked. I then showed them my receipt with my booking, but they still wanted me to move to another hostal. As I was getting picked up for the Salkantay trek at 4am the next morning at the hostal, I told them I cannot move to another hostal (this happened at 9pm!). After 1 hour of waiting around, they managed to move someone out of a room and put me there, but then told me the room rate is going to be more then what I had booked, and it was either take it or leave it!
I stayed here again after my trek as my bags were left here, I was given dirty room, dirty towel, not hot shower (for either of the nights), and again they charged me more.
Fastastic location, but would not recommend anyone to stay here!
